¡ Calle Caliente !

Calle Isabelino
Well, we are at it once again.  Having not heard from Bank of America this week on the house off San Martine Way that turned into a short-sale, we have decided to continue looking for other potential homes as we are eager to get settled and back into some sense of normalcy.  Although we were told the process has been moving quickly for a short-sale status, it is frustrating to feel that you are captive and at a bank's beacon call so to speak (even post bail-out status)  Our gut instinct tells us that the seller and their agent have not been as forthcoming with information and we think that in light of the house being vacant, different stories coming from all angles (rotating open house agents, neighbors, seller's real estate agent), and that utilities (electricity, water) have been turned off and the lawn not mowed, this could become the money pit.  As such, we visited an open house over the weekend of a home that we previously toured in July but realized it was not within our price range.

Our current status has not only been hard on the kids, but Kevin and I have slightly aged as a result of this purgatory stage of town home living.  Today, we made another offer on a home significantly newer, slightly smaller, but with less work, more cost-savings features and upgrades, but more important to the kids - a pool.  Kevin and I are a glutton for punishment, but wherever we land, we hope to have lots of our family and friends come visit... wherever that may be.

On a side note, today is our anniversary which we spent the night talking to our real estate agent about this offer.  Pretty special, huh?
