Chilly Beach Days

We packed up homemade chicken salad sandwiches, a couple bags of chips, some chocolate, and headed over to Powerhouse Park in Del Mar to picnic at the beach.  Brandon's not very fond of chicken salad sandwiches, so he made his own concoction of Goober peanut butter and jelly on a tortilla to enjoy, but all of us would be able to eat and lounge while taking in a view.  We loaded up the mini-van, brought out the chairs, blankets, and umbrella and took Papa and Gaga to this  particular stretch of the beach and did our best to try and stay warm on this chilly, windy day.

We did some people-watching, threw the football around, and watched a paraglider fly around above our heads until landing 100 yards down on the beach.  Have to admit that was the first time to experience that as paragliding is usually done down toward Torrey Pines area where there are some really spectacular views, but it was still neat nonetheless.  After about an hour and a half, we realized it was time to get going, but still a nice afternoon to be lazy.
