While Ashley was at one of her often (it seems) play date with her friends, Kevin decided to surprise Brandon and pick him up early from the Boys & Girls Club for a 'kaprise'. Brandon was, not surprisingly, disappointed that it was only 3:00 pm and he was having to leave early, but slowly started to proceed out of the building.
Kevin informed him that instead of going home, they were going to go play some baseball and get warmed up for the baseball season. Although it was just the two of them practicing on the baseball diamond, there were five to six girls sitting in the bleachers watching, and Brandon seemed to be having a good time.
They practiced for about an hour and when packing up to leave and head home, Kevin told Brandon that it he needed to keep practicing since the spring season was going to start soon.
Brandon's response to Kevin was, "Yeah, I know. It's important for my baseball career."
