The 55th air show was held over the weekend and was another amazing show. It was quite a different experience from our viewing of last year's events where we sat near the takeoff area and this year were relegated to the golf course. Obviously, Brandon and Ashley were more interested in raking the sand trap at the golf course instead of watching the Blue Angels performance. Kevin and I look forward to it each year, yet the kids were indifferent for some reason. Because of a birthday party earlier that day, we arrived later and had limited parking and viewing options; hence, the golf course escapades. The adults sat in the beach chairs while the kids went to work raking the sand. The jets flew close to us and we had a good vantage point, but the golf course was apparently more enticing. Next year I think we will try to make it back inside the gates and provide less distractions for the kids.
