After countless hours of Kevin talking to car salesmen, scouring the internet for a car that fits our need/budget, visiting six different dealerships with multiple trips in two different counties, and haggling over an acceptable price point, Kevin can stop worrying about the odd smells and fear that the car will go kaput without notice.
We have now finally sold our last vehicle after driving over 141,000 miles in the 2005 Mazda MPV minivan. We purchased this car with only 57,000 miles at a dealership in Temecula in June 2009 after relocating from Texas and found it to be a very good and reliable vehicle. However, it was inevitable that all good things must come to an end and 84,000 miles later, it was time to take our minivan to pasture after 51 months of driving it around and putting 84,000 miles later on September 29th.
It was somewhat tough for Kevin and I to drive around with a car that had this many miles on it, but we persevered and endured the creaky noises, oil escapades, and managed to escape being stranded. We can now proudly proclaim that we've driven a car that reached this type of milestone. Bitter sweet, but nice to know that we won't have to contend with the worry of something going out and needing to replace it.
