Ashley and Brandon can now sing their own rendition of, "We're in the money. We're in the money. We've got a lot of what it takes to get along!" as they have each opened up their own personal savings accounts. Kevin thought it would be a good idea for each of them to have their own personal accounts, so after doing some research, we decided that Wells Fargo would suffice. We originally thought that a credit union would be the way to go, but surprisingly the credit unions we researched did not really have any programs for children - very disappointing.
Saturday morning was the big day - each one tallied their money from their piggy banks and had an account opened up for them in their names. Ashley diligently rolled the coins as did Brandon. The gentleman who opened up the account was cordial and shared the same birthday as Brandon, which did not garner any magical $1,000 bills.
