Now What?

Lego's Death Star set

Drum roll please.  Brandon has officially finished assembling his Lego Star Wars Death Star and it only took one week to assemble.  He would have probably finished it sooner had we not restricted his assembly time since once he opened it, he was very focused and wanting to finish it as soon as possible.

Opening his Lego birthday present

Brandon's been wanting this Lego set for over two years which is ironic since it is recommended that this is for children ages 14+.  He received it for his birthday, but we made him wait to officially open the box and start working on it knowing that he would not want to do anything else (literally he is so fixated on a set once it's opened it's unreal).  The set contains 3,803 pieces and retails for $399.99, but Kevin managed to find a good deal for a hard-to-find item which made him ecstatic.

The set itself is actually quite impressive with the moving parts and the different scenes they incorporated from simple Legos.  I made the mistake of touching something and it accidentally broke, so my hands are now off limits to this behemoth set as I don't want to break anything else.  We are amazed at how fast he put this together and that he did it all by himself.  He's quite adept at working with Legos and enjoys it which is nice to see for a now 9 year old boy.
